As soon as humans became self-aware, they have strived to understand, interpret, and accumulate knowledge, subsequently using it for their survival. They chose to utilize and compartmentalize one of the universe's greatest mysteries: the concept of time. We've created mechanisms out of fear of confronting something immense: the impossibility of knowing what truly lies hidden in what we call the future.
Omen, the photographic project, investigates the human fear stemming from the inability to know future events in advance. The investigation is structured through a historical-interpretive view of ancient divinatory rituals, where humans relied on the gods for a favorable future.
